Massage and Reiki

Lately I have been doing many treatments where clients have been asking me to work with Reiki and massage. I am an intuitive healer and these sessions are going very beautifully. I am spiritually guided to the parts of the body that need Reiki and the other parts that need massage.

Sometimes after a section of the body has been massaged applying Reiki to the same section can further assist to treat any areas where you discovered big knots that could not be massaged out in one session alone.

Other times the opposite technique works and after Reiki has been used on a part of the body the same place can then be massaged if the blockage was an old one that could not be released with one session of Reiki alone.

Reiki and massage compliment each other very well and for those clients who are comfortable with massage but are new to Reiki it gives them a taste of the benefits of Reiki.

The balance between light to medium pressure applied to the body by massage techniques and the gentle touch of Reiki is also quite hypnotic and also allows the client to fall into the same healing sleep that a Reiki session alone would allow.

Why not try a Reiki and massage session today. The cost remains the same as it would be for a one hour massage or Reiki session but you get both.

Reiki for Children

Children love Reiki. Teenagers love Reiki. Reiki is for everyone!

Most of the clients I see are in fact adults but Reiki is fabulous for children. I know a lady who has learnt Reiki so that she can give it to her young daughter to assist her with her constant pain.

It is a lovely, natural alternative to pain killers and assists children to relax. Children respond so beautifully to Reiki as they are closer to the spirit world.

Reiki is also fabulous for teenagers; especially those who have very stressful experiences, such as the HSC, University or school exams and or assignments. The energy assists them to be calm and to let go of stress. Thus enabling them to acheive grades that are a more accurate example of their knowledge and skills and merely a reflection of their inability to cope and or panic in stressful situations.

Reiki suits young people as it is non-invasive in its delivery and is done with clothes on and only light placement of the hands on the body. There is no discomfort or pressure involved as there may be in other types of treatments.

In our society children and teenagers have many pressures placed upon them, as adults do. Although, unlike adults, children do not always have the skills to be able to free themselves of these stresses and anxieties like adults do.

Reiki is a fabulous way to be able to assist them.

Crystal healing - painful memories

Crystal healing treatments are a great way to remove traumatic memories from the past that plague you in the present. Sometimes they bring healing for painful memories that we don't even know that we are still carrying around with us.

The three types of crystal healing treatments that I do are:

1. Chakra balancing
2. Inner Child
3. Body Scan

The 'Inner Child' treatment is very good for healing painful experiences from your childhood.
The 'Body Scan' treatment is very good for removing a veriety of painful memories that may be causing a certain area of your body or an energy centre to be either painful or blocked.

I recently coducted a 'Body Scan' treatment on a client who was taken back to two different past experiences that had upset her and had not been healed, even though they had happened many years before. She was helped, through the aid of the crystals and a guided meditation conducted by myself to go back to the time when she was mentally abused as a child and the time when she was rejected by a partner as an adult and put love and forgiveness into the experiences and finally let them go.

There were healing tears involved but after the releases she left my treatment room feeling as though a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She told me that she was going to drive home with the music in the car loud so that she could sing!

This is just one of the beautiful examples of what a crystal healing session can do. I invite you to experience one for yourself!

Massage

Hi All,

I spent the weekend finishing my study on Whole Body Relaxation Massage and am now qualified and ready to take your bookings. I love these new skills which I have learned and am confident that you will too.

Yesterday I treated my first client with my new massage skills and he was very impressed. He commented on how relaxed he was and how I used techniques, which he enjoyed, that he had never had done before in a massage.

Accidents

Dear All,

I speak to so many people who have had major motor vehicle accidents. I understand their pain and suffering on a very personal level as I too have experienced a near-fatal car accident.

Reiki asssisted me too with my healing after my accident. I thought that I had done all of the healing that I could do as the scars healed and the brain began to function properly again. However many years after all of this physical healing occured I was presented with the deep underlying pain that I had not healed. The pain that existed still on a subconscious level.

After a year of Reiki treatments the Reiki energy removed the deep blockage that I had in my energy system that remained from the shock of the event. After the shock was removed I felt free again and knew that only then had I finally dealt with the shock of the accident that had occured many years before.

Many clients that I see still have the physical pain many years after their accidents. I am fortunate that I do not have the lingering physical pain that so many do.

These clients find frequent Reiki healings an amazing tool; which allows them to continue their lives without all of the suffering.

Treating Anxiety with Reiki

Many Clients ask me if Reiki is good for them. Lately I seem to have lots of clients coming to me who suffer from anxiety. I have been asked many times if Reiki is good for treating anxiety and from the experiences that I have had with these clients I must say it is a very calming and benefitial aid for them.

Perhaps this little story about a client I treated the other day may give you an idea about the benefits of Reiki for people suffering from anxiety:

I had a man with a disability come to see me months ago as he was often getting very anxious and even quite aggressive with others. His carer asked me if I could help. The man came for three Reiki sessions with me on three consecutive Saturdays. The carer and many other people in his life reported that he was much calmer and they had really noticed the difference in his temperament since he had been receiving Reiki.

Easter arrived and he had a few weeks off from coming to see me. His carer rang me last week to say that they did not know what to do with him. His behaviour had deteriorated again and she wanted an appointment for him as soon as possible.

The man came for his Reiki session and when he walked in the door he looked very anxious! You could see in his eyes how distressed he was. When he finished his session and met again with his carer he looked sleepy and tranquil. She commented immediately on how much more relaxed he appeared.

Reiki Training

This weekend I ran a Level 2 Reiki course. I love teaching people how to work with the Reiki energy. One of the participants in my workshop said to me that the people he work with always ask him how he can be so relaxed working in such a high-pressured job.

He told them that he believes it is due to his training in Reiki and the fact that he gives himself Reiki treatmets 3 to 4 times a week. (These are self-treatments that are taught in the Level 1 Reiki course that he completed with me three months ago).

He said that he has not found anything that is as deeply relaxing as Reiki before and he thinks that Reiki is very powerful. He only wishes that more people knew about it.

The books I have written.

‘Spirit’ was inspired through the experiences gained by Narelle Barnard during her recovery from a near-fatal car accident, experienced in November 2002. It is not simply a story about the ‘accident’ itself but a personal reflection about the way she recovered; through her inner strength and determination.

It is an autobiography about love, which is based on the theme of self-worth, never giving up or accepting limits in life. It is about having the independence and courage to continue through all trials and tribulations without being discouraged by what others tell you or the limits that they set.

It is based on personal lessons but it has a universal message throughout that allows all to relate to its wisdom. It is an inspirational account of what is possible when you don’t accept limitations.

Narelle Barnard’s Poetry Collection is based on the universal theme of ‘love’. The poetry is written about her personal experiences and the experiences of those surrounding her, from her own perspective.

Where love exists it is easy to put yourself into the situations detailed within these works. Joy, heartbreak, compassion, understanding and undying love are common threads throughout all of our lives. What does a crystal Healing treatment involve?
The client is asked a few questions about themselves to identify the areas where the crystals are needed. The client remains fully clothes and lies on a table in a warm room with theraputic music playing and the suble perfume of relaxing essential oils.
The practitioner chooses the crystals that are appropriate and places them on the body. The client is then assisted to direct the breath to the crystals through a guided meditation. The practitioner may also ask to client to feel, sense or visualise different emotions throughout this meditation practise as they place their hands gently on the body and transmit loving energy into the energy systems of the body.
The whole treatment process may take anywhere up to two hours in total. The results are often transformational. The treatment may consist of:
a chakra balancing - balancing the seven major energy points in the body.
inner child work - transforming the hurt child within us, bringing light to painful memories of the past.
a body scan - where any emotional blockages in the body are located and played out in a 'movie' style guided meditation.

Reiki Healing

REIKI ~ THE GENTLE HEALING ART

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means 'universal life force energy', it is a non-invasive healing modality which helps to balance the human energy system and assist the body in repairing itself. It is simple, natural and extremely effective in helping to maintain health, reduce stress, and prevent illness by strengthening the immune system, and creating feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki improves the results of medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain and reduce stress. The effectiveness of Reiki seems to be in its ability to bring all systems of the body into balance, maximizing the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Reiki is known to help balance the various systems of the body, so the hormonal level of the body can be affected as well. It has been observed that, over a period of time, Reiki has normalized menstrual cycles, reduced cramping, helped with migraines, and lessened the frequency and intensity of 'hot flushes' and anxiety during menopause. Reiki is also wonderfully relaxing and calming during pregnancy and childbirth.

Reiki treatments are soothing and peaceful. The client lies fully clothed on a padded table in a warm, comfortable room, surrounded by gentle music and the subtle calming perfume of essential oils. The treatment follows a traditional pattern of hand positions, resting without pressure on or above the body.

Reiki brings about deep relaxation. Due to its gentle nature, many people fall asleep and awake feeling remarkably refreshed. If we are stressed or just 'need a break' this is probably what is in order, to shut down the responses, so the body can take refuge in silence. Some experience relief immediately; others find that within a week or two their symptoms have diminished or disappeared.

Reiki sessions usually last about 60 minutes. For stress reduction one to three sessions are satisfactory, however, for chronic conditions long-term treatment may be recommended. Many people enjoy the balancing and calming effect that Reiki brings to their lives and schedule regular monthly treatments.
